Per Sport, despite the club's ongoing financial struggles, president Joan Laporta is determined to bring the Norwegian goal machine to Barcelona. Laporta aims to unveil the City star at the grand re-opening of Camp Nou which is scheduled for 2026.

Haaland has been linked with a move away from Etihad Stadium for some time amid interest from clubs like Barca, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. The 24-year-old has won it all since moving to England from Borussia Dortmund in 2022. He bagged consecutive Golden Boot awards in the English top flight and won the treble with the Cityzens in his maiden season in the Premier League.
