Greenwood's future at Old Trafford is currently undecided, with his contract set to expire in 2025. The expiring deal – as well as his age and the footballing talent he possesses – have enticed Juventus into the potential move. Getafe are also reportedly interested in another loan for Greenwood, although United would prefer a permanent sale if he did depart this summer. Atletico Madrid are also interested in the forward, although Barcelona will not make a move for fear of a potential backlash.

The player was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of rape and sexual assault. He was suspended by United, but saw all charges against him dropped in February 2023 – eventually paving the way for the loan move to Getafe.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

Former United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has revealed his thoughts on a potential move to Juventus for Greenwood, where he said: "I’m convinced that Mason would do well in any big team, even Juventus. A Greenwood-Vlahovic-Chiesa trident would be super.”
