Cunha had been earmarked as a potential target for Arsenal after a fine run of goalscoring form at Molineux. The striker has scored 10 goals in 19 league games this term, in a side that are currently 17th in the Premier League table, and Wolves have now made a move to ensure he stays, the reports.

Arsenal are interested in signing versatile cover for Bukayo Saka after his injury and Cunha is likely to be tempted by the interest from north London. Nevertheless, Wolves are said to be negotiating a deal and could include a release clause to ensure Cunha commits his future and does not leave mid-season.
